Taxes in DRC

I reviewed some articles about the taxation system in the DRC.

DRC: The slow march toward a tax agreement. Discussion of why individuals and business often don't pay their taxes, the role of the Catholic Church in motivating people to pay tax, and some political movements toward tax reform.

Here is a Congo Siasa blog entry on problems with the way the DRC's national debt was cancelled. Comments in response to the article turned into a very interesting discussion of how mining firms are taxed in the DRC.

Finally, here is a Deloitte report showing a raw summary of the tax code in relatively easy to understand tabular form.
